In an unstructured artistic practice, Monique Orsini draws her sources from the awareness of space and light. The abstraction of her fathers such as that of Olivier Debré, Pierre Soulages, Karel Appel or even Ben Lindstrom, will also lead her to engage with light, senses, colors and matter.
Her work leaves visible and attainable the sensitivity that the painter has with the painted object; the gesture is then deciphered, the sense of colors is exalted, the rhythm given to the canvas is like a natural beat. Ample and radiant lines, give consistency to the pictorial material.
