Inception Gallery presents Matt Devine, american artist from 13 May 2015 to 30 June 2015
Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts, Devine moved to San Diego in 1995 where he learned how to weld and fabricatemetal with his father while working at the La Jolla Playhouse.
Self-taught sculptor working with steel, aluminum and bronze, he moved on to work at various fabrication studios often working with designers and architects, eventually creating his own designs.
Functional pieces gave way to non-representational sculptures, which he showed at galleries in San Diego with increasing frequency and success.
